Cluster Reduction

Here is an activity I did on Friday to introduce some new Minimal Pair cards to a client 🤩

This time we were focusing on a process called ‘Cluster Reduction’.

Each time this little one would try to say /st/ or /sk/ sounds they would simplify it to /t/ or /k/ 🤔

So we would hear...

👻 “I’m going to CARE you”

Instead of...

👻 “I’m going to SCARE you”

Each time we heard our /sk/ or /st/ correctly, Mr Pig got to eat a burger 🍔

This client even had a ghost sheet so we used that to try and ‘Scare’ each other 😂

If you are have any questions regarding your child’s speech, get in touch! I would be more than happy to chat 🤩
